Carlson Group Placement: Bankers Trust Hires Brett Hartema as CFO

Bankers Trust, Iowa’s largest privately owned bank, recently announced the hiring of Brett Hartema as its next Chief Financial Officer, a search Carlson Group was pleased to assist. Brett most recently served as Partner at RSM US, LLP. He replaces Kip Albertson, who had announced his retirement after a distinguished 31-year tenure as Bankers Trust’s CFO. Kip’s career was highlighted by the recent honor of being named the Business Record’s 2025 Deloitte CFO of the Year. Carlson Group was proud to support this important search and we are excited to see what Brett and Bankers Trust have in store for the future of the company.
